Remarks:
Ride pace will be a super friendly EVER. I strongly suggest the not-so-competitive BFF rider to join this Sunday ride.

Speed & Power is what BFF hunger now. For those looking for the "kick" you can do so at the 2 major climbs. Climb like a mad mountain goat!  All regroup will be at the peak of the climbs.

0600.  But the ride starts slightly delayed. Our TJ only ordered his half-boiled-eggs at 0550. By 0600, we saw him just broke the eggs into his plate. Somehow, we managed to get his bike ready to roll while he is enjoying the best half-boiled-eggs from the fresh village chicken (not farmed chicken).

We rolled out at 0615. The pace is pretty steady. Cruising between 26-28kmh. The only rider that worrying us is TJ as he only ride once in a blue moon. Surprisingly, he did quite well. Not until the Pantai. He got jelly legs.

The small team pacing quite steadily. All eyeing the long climb of Kuala Klawang. RH accelerated quite in the early stage with his new Whistles Sauk Di2 which designed as climbing breed. Steady cadence that makes him climbing up ahead of others.

Followed closely is AB. After few attempts of tailgating RH, he gave up chasing but to change plan to complete the climb.

A surprised phone ringing early in the morning.  It was actually TJ that called up he decided to make an u-turn and wait for us at Temiang Corner.

YP is climbing at his on pace to prevent muscle cramping. He managed to conquered the climb in less than 10mins after the 1st rider arrived.

We had a quick photo session and make a quick descend to the nearest stall to replenish water bottles. Thanks YP for the mineral sponsorship.

We had a wonderful moments of the 10km flat which makes everybody drafting towards the next climb. The speed is set at a constant 33kmh. Very good session. I think all are happy to stay together.

We make a right turn at the traffic light area after the Pantai town. Heading into Lekas highway.

The highway section is way shorter than what we have expected.

The entire ride finished around 0815. We have more time for breakfast and the ride's post-modem. What a great day to starts with this fantastic ride b

This is the historic ride for BFF team. It recorded the most turned up riders on a Sunday's long ride. It is a very good sign that the team is looking for higher performance ride. And the thirst of achieving greater health.

We have supprised riders that turn up last minute. Llike the long lost AK, CY & our senior Scouter Mr YY. Also the guest from China, KB

For the 1st time, there were 3 selected venues suggested as pre-ride breakfast. This is very important tips for the riders as the breakfast place is limited during such wee hours.

Ride kicked off sharp at 0530. All started with a paced speed. Thanks to Mr 67 for coordinating it.

The train started to picks up speed up upon reaching Lukut. The roadie & the only tribike look eagerly to speed off. Luckily they are kind enough to let the others on MTB to draft.

**The "Food code". There were food name besides the race code. If 1 rider prefers to test his/her performance, he/she can do so by mentioning the food. For e.g, LG wanna take 67 as challenge, he will say, I WANNA JIAO-HOT-DOG! & so on. He/she can opt for more than 1 meal.

Towards the PD town (km20+) few of the riders decided to make an u-turn. They are CY, KT, AK & FG. 4 of them form a new small train by heading home in a team. Though does not achieve the planned 90 route. Still achieved a good 40km+ ride for a rider which have not been riding for weeks (if not months).

On the other side, AB & YP also decided to make a u-turn. Reason is AB's rear sprockets were loosen. A technical problem.  Lesson to learn, always pre-check your machine for optimal performance ride. However, I'm still figuring the reason why YP is u-turn.

**Operation Burung Mayat. Picked up a dead bird on the road. To avoid being roll over by vehicles, I put it on the road side. RIP

As usual, we had our R&R (rest & refill) at KM47, Pasir Panjang town. An usual photograph session is a must especially for the newbie YY & KB. As of this point, we have a 7 strong riders.

We continue rolling after the short 8mins stop. The real game is about to start at this point. The most worrying rider is AY. Legs started to jelly. However, he look determined. All of us stick together as team.

Probably a hot day, we drained out fluid quite fast. We decided to have a short break & refill near Rantau town, before heading the rolling hills section.

We saw the 1st attack when I was tail-gated by KB on a Quintana Roo CD0.1 at a hill climb. We then sped downhill and separated the group as lead group. We managed to work as a small team by taking turn to pull. We were able to stay few minutes ahead from the chasing group.

Exhaustion & drained of energy. I had this experience when I was trying to draft on KB's rear wheel. it was like 100+ rpm + high HR. Almost reaching a boiling level. Luckily there were no more attacks from KB, else I could have jiao-ed by KB.

Overall, the ride was a quick one as all arrived home by 0930. Very satisfied ride on this special Father's Day edition.

Relaxing mindset is important. RH is doing so in a very PRO way.

Warming up engines. Time to roll!

Visualize his "meal of the day".

AY heavily loaded. To prevent muscle cramps.

Still chewing.

Very smooth starts of the day. All on time, no late. Overall, the BFF fitness has increased tremendously. By the time we reach Teluk Kemang (Km35), the sky is still dark and quiet! Despite our previous experience where the road is busy with the sun about to saying "hello".

We take a short stop at KM47, the famous double decker bus converted as accomodation for tourist. It is a tourist attraction!

A quick stop means less than 15mins. As usual, mineral waters. We also saw BFF refilling their energy by eating bars/energy gel! Team is getting more aware about the importance of nutrition planning for long ride.  Once refilled, all gear up for rolling.

10mins after the Double Decker stop, we entered into a section with wide open road. It is very new to most of the riders today. The stretch is so quiet until Mr 67 managed to grab his XiaoMi for a wefie! (Do not try this without practice!)

Wet wet ride. Towards the Km80, the dark could we're noticed far ahead. Definately our direction that we are heading. All of us stopped to re-setup by keeping our electronics safe. No fears for the team.

It is within our expectation, we hit the rain (heavy) in less than 10 mins from our last stop. The group were separated. Myself, AB & LG were sped off. The chase was pretty interesting. I would say it is a very dangerous ride in such heavy rain & wet condition. Especially towards the finishing.

Lastly, it is always a great ride with the old school buddies (BFF). However, this wet edition is a special version. When was your last time get to soak with rain water..... And you felt IT WAS FUN!

Pre ride check, dirty chain/cassettes not good for the bike's mechanism over the distance/duration. Wearing off....

Cleaned... Smooth rolling

Still dark! The guys are busy pre-check for the ride of the day. Brake, gears, helmet, light, ....

1st stop for replenishment. The famous double decker stop.

MG's strategise ride by reducing body weight.

Double Decker at KM48. Photo session.

Double Decker at KM48. Photo session. Horses at rest.

Double Decker at KM48. Photo session. Legendary photo pose.

Double Decker at KM48. Photo session. Henry boys.

Double Decker at KM48. Photo session. Wefie by Mr 67.

Double Decker at KM48. Photo session. Gearing up for the remaining journey.

Cloudy day with quiet road. Wefie on the bike!

Cloudy day with quiet road. Wefie on the bike!

KM80, dark cloud ahead! Final check to ensure electronics are well kept. !

It is gonna be a real thunderstorm ahead!

All set to tackle the dark army!

Rewarding session after the ride. Far behind, the BFF MG just ready for his morning tea.

Cold weather (after wet ride) + hot drink = perfect enjoyment.

On the other side, we have BFF riding off road.

BFF TM checking on...

The ride started a bit late as PE & TR were late.  Be punctual will be emphasized in next trip😎

The aim for this weekend is clear cut, which to roll towards Melaka, when the meter hits 60km, u-turn. Total distance should be 120km.

This weekend is quite a small turn up. Despite the last minute No-Show by the 2 committed riders (namely MG & TJ), we still 6 of us turn up. Big applause to the attendees.

From the start, all went smoothly. The train started to broke into 2 pieces when approaching Teluk Kemang. AB was detached from the train when he stopped by to adjust his seat post. Then he was stayed with PE & TE.

67, LG & myself cruise towards our target point. This small group felt great when we pass the Red Double Decker near Pasir Panjang town. It indicates the 50km mark which we have achieved 2 weeks ago. However, the road becoming tougher as we encountered lots of rolling hills after that.

The 60km point is just right in front of a dragon fruit farm. We stopped by for a short photo session, also some intake of energy gels/bars.

While the u-turn is a discussing topic (it was hot that time), we saw a MUCH SHORTER alternative way which complete the ride as a LOOP. Base on the Google Map, it shows we will pass by Siliao - Rantau - Mambau. Due to the tire condition, we decided to abandon out "60km U-turn plan" by take the shorter route to form a loop.

Things were very wrong, there were several rolling hills. Due to unfamiliar in this route, we burn out energy fast by speeding up the hills.

By KM75, LG already left far behind from the group. Myself, at KM80, I feel that my energy is already at the low side. Trying to maintain at a cruising speed is a challenge. I decided to slow down the speed to conserve energy so that I can last to finish the ride. It was kind like a never ending route as you have no idea how long to go, how many hills ahead.

KM85, Mr 67 caught me. He took effort by pulling in front. That's really save lots of time & effort by cruising much faster now. I'm impressed by his "Diesel engine" where the real power kicks in at the finishing part.

KM90, finally we saw the sign board of "Mambau"! That's marks the end of the ride. The starting/ending point just 200m away from the signage!

As we approaching to the end, we saw AB, PE & TE were there! These boys clocked the 70km distance. They u-turn at Teluk Kemang where AB u-turn at Blue Lagoon. Still a good attempt to clocked this distances.

"A small increment of distance, a huge improvement in fitness!"

This weekend ride reminds me the importance of hydration & planning of nutrition. I was kind of exhausted after the ride. Should have treat this a serious game on Sunday BFF ride!

Pre ride check. Chain is too dirty. Diets were accumulated. Frictional at every revolution. Big no no for a precious fast horse!

1st time usage of Weldtite chain machine. It's 4-way brushes claimed to be efficient.

After 30 seconds of spinning the crank. An easy task where even a kids can perform such cleaning task! It is as clean as new chain. Perfect! Find out the video on www.Quick-Sport.com/Weldtite

Sun's harmful UV is not your friend. Sport keeps us looking young & energetic. But not a damaged dried face skin. Protect it!

LG busy putting pressure on his tubeless wheel.

LG is all set for the day.

The dot shows the 60km mark.

Photo session at Km60. It is a dragon fruit farm.

The fantastic 2(F2). Blue sky white cloud!

Wefie with the F2

Robot 67?  Myself is busy checking the map.

Dancing.... He is damn good mood today.

Check out the map. Found out an alternative route.

Thanks god for giving us a wonderful day.

AB clocked a good 40km u-turn mark near Blue Lagoon

TE had a great moment with PE near Teluk Kemang.

我们是”好朋友”. We are BFF

Inflation, GST, low value Ringgit.... Sigh....
