Very smooth starts of the day. All on time, no late. Overall, the BFF fitness has increased tremendously. By the time we reach Teluk Kemang (Km35), the sky is still dark and quiet! Despite our previous experience where the road is busy with the sun about to saying "hello".
We take a short stop at KM47, the famous double decker bus converted as accomodation for tourist. It is a tourist attraction!
A quick stop means less than 15mins. As usual, mineral waters. We also saw BFF refilling their energy by eating bars/energy gel! Team is getting more aware about the importance of nutrition planning for long ride. Once refilled, all gear up for rolling.
10mins after the Double Decker stop, we entered into a section with wide open road. It is very new to most of the riders today. The stretch is so quiet until Mr 67 managed to grab his XiaoMi for a wefie! (Do not try this without practice!)
Wet wet ride. Towards the Km80, the dark could we're noticed far ahead. Definately our direction that we are heading. All of us stopped to re-setup by keeping our electronics safe. No fears for the team.
It is within our expectation, we hit the rain (heavy) in less than 10 mins from our last stop. The group were separated. Myself, AB & LG were sped off. The chase was pretty interesting. I would say it is a very dangerous ride in such heavy rain & wet condition. Especially towards the finishing.
Lastly, it is always a great ride with the old school buddies (BFF). However, this wet edition is a special version. When was your last time get to soak with rain water..... And you felt IT WAS FUN!
Pre ride check, dirty chain/cassettes not good for the bike's mechanism over the distance/duration. Wearing off....
Cleaned... Smooth rolling
1st stop for replenishment. The famous double decker stop.
MG's strategise ride by reducing body weight.
Double Decker at KM48. Photo session. Wefie by Mr 67.
All set to tackle the dark army!
On the other side, we have BFF riding off road.
