2014 Ironman Langkawi Triathlon, 27 September 2014

It is 1 of the important event in my life.  IRONMAN Triathlon.  I had given a chance to claim the titlle back in 2001 where the 1st edition of Ironman Malaysia was held in Langkawi.
The story back to 2001, at that time, in terms of physical fitness & mental strength, I was well prepared at all time as I was racing regularly as well as under an extensive training program fully sponsored (and get paid).  I got DNF at the event (long story to tell).  Since then, I got regretted.

Signin up race is easy as the race is now a global movement, the commitment of training is the main criteria to decide.  As time flies, it is even take longer & harder considerations to take part in such long distance races.  Due to factors of family, work commitment & etc.
In this 2014 IMMY, I am actually taken a risk by using the minimalist training method which train in a structured program which is shorter training time but higher intensity, regularly (if not daily basis).
Here's my training for the individual disciplines.
  1. Swim 900m - 1200m
  2. Bike trainer 45mins - 60mins
  3. Run...  15km per week (this is seriously low mileage which I need to revise it in my next IM challenge)
  4. Sunday MTB fun ride with buddies : very important as you spend hours outdoor without tiring yourself.
After work, bike trainer session...

For the outdoor ride, it is almost ZERO.  The actual outdoor distance logged on bike-leg are only 125km.  (CFAL Penang 85km & a trial ride frmo Ulu Langat Bt 18 - Perez total of 40km)
