Recreational Park Behind Zoo Negara Malaysia

Hey folks, went to a mountain bike session with few malay friends last Sunday. This time we met at a Roti Canai store right before the Zoo's junction. Heard that it is famouse for Roti Boom! Hmm.. the price is reasonable, Rm0.70 per piece, and the taste is not bad though. It would be a best snack before entering the recreational park.

From the main entrance of Zoo Negara, drive all the way in. You will passby with a Malay Kampong (Village). You will be surprised with such scenary when you are there. Nobody can imagine that there is such place exists in an urban area.

About 2KM from the entrance, you will reach a juntion. Please notice that there is a sign board stating "Adi Kolam Menancing" (Adi's Fishing Pond), Turn left at the junction, and follow the small tarmac road till you reach a small hut. You should see some parking lot at that area.

We unload our Super Mountain Bike, double check the bike's setting, prepare the radio set and head out for our ride. As you are riding from the parking area, aboud 200 meters, you will reach a Y-junction, according to the experience biker, the right hand side will be heading to a waterfall call "Sophia Jane Waterfall", it will be another 20-30 minutes of riding. It is a tarmac road. While the left hand side is our destination path. We followed the muddy path. In order to reach to the river stream, you will need to climb for 3 really steep hill. I think it is more that 35 degrees. We pushed our bike up to the hill. Along the way, the scenries are good too. So refreshing.

There is no split junctions during our journey except the turning point to the river stream. There is a hug and tall tree called "Rocket Tree". The outlook of the tree's body is looks like a rocket! there is a small path there, just follow it and you should reach to the river in about 15mins time. Then you can have nice bath with the natural river. IT IS COOL!!!
