20 July 2014 MTB de Seremban version "The Tower"
Was nearly a missed MTB ride today. The iPhone alarm was actually disabled. Luckily the small doggy did bark at 620am sharp tgat wakes me up.
No group breakfast at Sar-hor-fun near the old Yellow Bus Station. Just 2 small Gardenia breads prior ride.
This morning recorded the most turn up - 15 riders. Including the rider with virgin ride, Mr 67er.
The route is almost same like previous version, but added a climb of 2km stretch leading to the top where it is a telecommunication tower, we call it "The Tower".
The climb is technical to many of us as the ascent is consistent with gravel trail. Pushing too hard maybe tyre slippage, easy pedalling maybe losing momentum and cause low cadence, eventually muscle fatigue or cramped.
Though noy all make it to the top, but with the consistency of the weekly rides, sooner or later, all will be able to make it to the top regardless of ride or push.
As many things in life, after all the obstacles (climbinh), always ended with rewarding moments (downhill). Long stretch of down hill is where you feel the hard work is well spent.
On the way out, we rerouted to a single trail ride with mostly flat & fast course.
Overall, the ride is 18km+, but with high intensity (The Tower's climb). Next ride, will expect bigger turn up and more riders shall conquered the "The Tower"...
Mr Victor pacing a newbie up a sloop.
